For the past couple of weeks, I have testing out a skincare line and it has become my new obsession. OSEA (pronounced OH-SEE-UHH) Malibu is a is a family owned business that started in the 1990s. OSEA is more than just a brand, they are a family and are striving to make a difference for the people & for the planet.

I had these amazing products sent to me and I tested them out for a couple of weeks to see if each product really did the job. It was important that I tested this skincare line out thoroughly because they are on the pricier side, therefore I wanted to ensure that you, my loyal reader, are getting what you pay for. The brand takes pride in being 100% plant-based and cruelty-free which is amazing.
I received a total of four products. I received the Gigartina Therapy Bath, Blemish Balm, Salts of the Earth Body Scrub, and the Black Algae Flash Mask. The packaging of all of the products are super luxurious and you certainly receive a good amount of product. Now, let’s dive into the details. of each product.
Black Algae Flash Mask: This is a is a 2 in 1 mask and an exfoliant for a brighter complexion. I was so excited to try this. I am a mask junkie and after reading that this mask contained so many natural ingredients, I couldn’t wait to see how my skin would react to this. As far as smell, it smells like a typical clay mask. I applied a thin layer to my face and I will say that a little bit goes a very long way. It is recommended that you leave your mask on for about ten minutes. A few minutes after I applied the mask, I started to feel that my face was getting warm. It was pretty cool how the mask began to heat up on its own. It was nothing that made me worry, in fact, it felt really good on my face.
Once my time was up, I used warm water to wet my fingertips and began to massage the mask. This mask contained jojoba beads which are exfoliating properties. In other words, an alternative to plastic micro-beads. When I was done washing the Black Algae face mask off, my face instantly felt smooth. Be aware that moderate redness will occur when using this mask and it is very normal. The redness lasted for less than ten minutes. I will say that I would not recommend this mask if you have sensitive skin. Osea Malibu even recommends the same. Overall, I am obsessed with this mask and I highly recommend it. It is a very powerful mask and the results you see after using it are amazing. Quick Tip: This mask worked wonders for me as a spot treatment as well.
Next up we have the Blemish Balm: I was on the prowl for a new moisturizer, therefore, I couldn’t wait to try this. In fact, this was the first product I used when I received my package. You guys, this Blemish Balm smells AMAZING. I cannot stress amazing enough. This moisturizer is ultra lightweight and perfect for day or night time use. I prefer to use it more at night because it is so lightweight. Some moisturizers leave my skin super oily and greasy by the time that I wake up whereas this one does not. At first, I was nervous because when I read “balm”, I immediately thought it was going to be super thick and to my surprise, it was not at all. If you have oily skin, this will be great for you!
I tried out a few bath products one of them being the Salts of the Earth Body Scrub. Let me just tell you, YOU NEED THIS. Perfect for all skin types, this body scrub is a game changer. Blended with exotic mineral rich salts and mixed with botanical oils, your skin will thank you so much for using this scrub. Aside from the sweet lavender scent, the açai pulp oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants that deeply hydrates and firms your skin. I love using this all over my body. After applying your scrub, massage into your skin and rinse. Your skin will feel deeply moisturized. I literally use this every other day! If you do not make a purchase after reading this review, I promise, you must start with the Salts of the Earth Body Scrub.
Speaking of body care, I also tried the Gigartina Therapy Bath. This mineral rich seaweed bath soak is so relaxing. It smells amazing, the essential oils just put me into a relaxed state of mind. You will have a blend of vital minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins that soothe your muscles and deeply hydrate your skin. I love the scent of this soak and highly recommend it if you love taking baths.
Speaking of a relaxed state of mind. I love essential oils and the benefits behind each oil. I tried out the Vagus Nerve Oil, an essential oil blend that is meant to invite an uplifting, meditative state of consciousness. The blend of oils smells so, so good! I honestly wish I could get a large bottle and use it as a massage oil. To use, I apply this to my wrist, behind my ears and neck right before bed. This is a therapeutic oil that is mixed with chamomile, jojoba, juniper, and lavender. You have to at least smell this to understand how this beautiful blend of oils, will literally put you into a relaxed mood.
I love everything about this brand and the products that were sent to me. Their website is very honest about their products. I was concerned with pricing however, it is totally worth it. You get a good amount of product and each product will last you a good while. I would highly recommend pretty much all of the products that were sent to me. I wish I would pick one, but they are all truly amazing. You either order OSEA Malibu directly from their site or visit your local Neiman Marcus.
