Ponce City Market, once known as the Sears, Roebuck & Company building is linked directly to the Atlanta Beltline and is across from the Historic Fourth Ward Park. This historic building sits on the stretch of Ponce De Leon Avenue. It is in the crossroads of beautiful established neighborhoods of Atlanta. This unique building has a marketplace, tons of restaurants and many places to shop.
“ In early 2014, Travel + Leisure ranked Ponce City Market as one the 25 in its list of “The World’s Coolest New Tourist Attractions.”
On the first floor, there are a lot of restaurants. There are plenty of options and something for everyone. The set up resembles a food hall but it is very stylish with an array of food choices and a lot of seating to choose from. Ponce City Market is a hot spot for locals. If you are from the area, you will find that many people come here to hang out, grab lunch during their breaks and even to host business meetings.

While roaming around I tried Lucky Lotus, a delicious cold press juice bar. They offer handcrafted smoothies, natural juices, energy shots and more. When it comes to restaurants, there are so many to select from. If you are in the mood for a simple classic style fried chicken, check out Hop’s Chicken, known for their “honest, clean” deep fried chicken. They are right next to the popular H&F Burger restaurant.
Heading up to the second floor, there are more restaurants and shops. Also on the second floor, there is a beautiful walkway that overlooks the Historic Old Fourth Ward Park. This is such a relaxing place to sit and relax. Oh, and of course, a great place for Instagramable photos This walkway also leads to the Atlanta Beltline. The Atlanta Beltline is a trail where people ride their bikes, scooters and walk to get through the city.
The unique vibe that Ponce City Market offers is remarkable. To get the most out of your experience, you must make your way to the rooftop. On the rooftop, there are yet again, more places to eat and there is Skyline Park. An outdoor experience that has miniature golf and midway games. My three year old loves Skyline Park. We go there quite often and have such a great time. This is an outdoor experience like no other.
In conclusion, Ponce City Market is the perfect hot spot for locals and visitors. From all the amazing restaurant choices, all the shopping you need and lastly a rooftop with outstanding views, I highly recommend that you check out one of my favorite places to hang out. Adults, keep in mind, Skyline Park is 21+ after 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you are looking for a fun girls night out or a perfect date night location, this is your place.
