Everyone knows that I am a foodie! I like to try all sorts of foods even if its a plant based. Sweet Earth Foods just launched their new plant-based protein, Mindful Chik’n strips and I could not believe how much this tastes like chicken! I mean it is tender, juicky and meaty and tastes just like traditional chicken breast.
Mindful Chik’n is made with non-GMO plant-based ingredients like soy and wheat protein. As an alternative to chicken, Mindful Chik’n still gives you a great source of fiber, protein, and flavor. Cut in perfect chucks, the use of Mindful Chik’n is endless. You can throw it in your favorite salad, pasta or even make a stir fry. My favorite way to use the Mindful Chik’n strips is to make fajita inspired quesadillas or make a classic Asian inspired vegan chicken and broccoli, sometimes with rice.
I love making Asian inspired dishes at home. I am going to share how I turn a classic Asian style chicken and broccoli in a savory garlic sauce into a delicious vegan meal using Sweet Earth Food’s Mindful Chik’n strips.
The Mindful Chik’n strips are quick and easy to prepare and this dish will take less than 20 minutes. For my Chik’n and broccoli recipe, we are going to use a few simple ingredients- Mindful Chik’n Strips, Fresh Garlic or Garlic Powder, Hoisin Garlic Sauce, Soy Sauce (optional) and Broccoli.
To make, simply eat up a medium-sized pan, sauté your minced garlic until golden brown, once garlic is cooked, add Sweet Earth Mindful Chik’n Strips and cook thoroughly for approximately 8 minutes. Then add your the Hoisin Garlic Sauce (found in the international foods aisle) and stir. Once the sauce is evenly distributed, cover and simmer for 5 min. The sauce will thicken up, you are free to add more sauce if you are looking for more sauce. While the Mindful Chik’n strips are cooking. Steam your broccoli. In either in the microwave or stovetop and set aside once complete. Once the Mindful Chik’n Strips have finished, you can mix everything or plate separately and enjoy it! If you would like to pair with rice, I would recommend Jasmine Rice. So simple!
