I am a firm believer that no matter how much you work out or how healthily you eat, the key to a healthy body is proper hydration. Our bodies are made of more than 50% of water, therefore, it is important to stay hydrated at all times. As a fitness enthusiast, I pay attention to everything that I intake, including my water. Years ago when I lived in New York, tap water was a common thing that people drank however when I moved to Georgia, I never heard of anyone drinking tap water. I took the plunge and got a Primo water dispenser and it has been the best decision ever.

The quality of water is very important to me especially when it comes to my family. Primo water removes all of the not so good stuff from tap water. Plus, it is eco-friendly which is a major plus for me.

Did you know that one five-gallon Primo water bottle saves over 1,100 single-serve bottles?

Primo water goes through a purification process that includes reverse osmosis which is a type of filtration process. For example, the purification process eliminates the presence of chlorine, parasites, bacteria, contaminants and more! You can read in-depth information on Primo’s purification process here.

When I received my refillable 5-gallon water bottle, I was so excited about my new water journey. Getting my Primo water bottle refilled is so easy and very inexpensive. To refill my water bottle, I checked out the Primo water website and located my nearest refill station. To my surprise, there were so many but I was lucky enough to find that there was one at my local Walmart, which is very convenient for me.

HOW TO FILL YOUR PRIMO WATER BOTTLE

I went to Walmart and asked an associate where the refill station was and of course, it was in the aisle where water would be. Once I located the refill station, I removed the cap, placed my bottle in a chamber on the station, flipped the switch and the water poured into my bottle. This could not be any easier. After my bottle was filled, I placed the cap back on and I headed to check out. I paid under two dollars to fill my 5-gallon water bottle. To be exact, I paid $1.63 for 5 gallons of water. Talk about cost-effective.

Since this was my first time doing this, I was so nervous while driving home. I was praying that I snapped the cap on tight enough to ensure that I won’t have 5-gallons of water in my car but it was secure. If you are hesitant like me, you can purchase a non-spill cap here.

  • Make sure your water dispenser is plugged in and the switches in the back are on for hot and cold water.
  • Open the dispenser door and open your filled water bottle
  • Place the probe into your water bottle and push down until it’s secure (you’ll hear a snap)
  • Put the bottle into the water dispenser and close the door.
  • Wait about an hour or so for the dispenser to cool and heat the water
  • Lastly, enjoy fresh, purified water. So simple

My Deluxe Bottom Loading Water Dispenser dispenses cool, ice cold and piping hot water. No worries parents, there is a child lock to prevent hot water from dispensing accidentally. Trust me, as a mom to a curious three-year-old, safety is always a number one concern. If you are still a little hesitant about having hot water on your dispenser, you can switch the hot water off in the back of the dispenser.

I go through at least 5-gallons of water a week and I knew this because I typically drink a gallon of water a day. You can only imagine how much money I am saving by switching to Primo and the water tastes amazing.
